Professionally trained in production methodology including, DV Cam, HDV, lighting and sound, Richard Welch has completed a BA Honours in Film and an MA in Documentary Film-making.
Richard Welch’s last film was At The End Of The Storm Is A Golden Sky, a documentary that followed the journey of two of England’s football team for the Homeless World Cup Tournament in Copenhagen. The film has been selected for the International Film Festival Filmstock
Richard Welch’s latest film, The Accidental Smoker shall be following Richard as he bids to try and quit smoking. During this journey the film shall be exploring many aspects such of this complex issue such as; why do people still smoke today with so much medical knowledge about its harmful effects? What are the psychological reasons behind this phenomenon? And finally how can smokers quit and what methodology exists today?

It offers refreshingly honest answers, and holds a mirror up to the audience about the ethics of prostitution. The film has been accepted to a number of international festivals including; The Portobello Film Festival 'the biggest celebration of independent film in Europe' by The Independent.
Maaike has worked with a number of award winning producers/ directors on various films. She has also worked as an editor at The Business Channel a channel bringing entertainment and business together.
